英読 / Eidoku ("the extension") is designed to work entirely on your device. We take the strongest possible stance on privacy: the extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
The visible text of the web page you are viewing, in order to add Japanese meanings (ruby) to words above your English level and to provide click-to-define lookups, pronunciation, and idiom hints. This text is processed locally in your browser and is never sent to us or any third party.
Your preferences only (your Eiken level, which sites it is enabled or disabled on, and the "show meanings for all words" toggle), saved via the browser's storage. These may sync across your own devices through your browser account if you have sync enabled, but no browsing content is ever stored or transmitted.
All reading features are fully offline — the dictionaries, word lists, and pronunciation data ship inside the extension. The optional Pro upgrade uses ExtensionPay and Stripe to process a one-time payment. Payment is handled by those providers under their own privacy policies; we never see your card details.

読解機能はすべて完全オフラインで動作し、辞書・語彙リスト・発音データは 拡張機能に同梱されています。任意のPro購入時のみ、ExtensionPayおよびStripeを 利用して一回の支払いを処理します。支払いは各社のプライバシーポリシーに 基づき処理され、当方がカード情報を見ることはありません。
