Adaptive Furigana ("the extension") is designed to work entirely on your device. We take the strongest possible stance on privacy: the extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
The visible text of the web page you are viewing, in order to add furigana and provide click-to-define lookups. This text is processed locally in your browser and is never sent to us or any third party.
Your preferences only (JLPT level, which sites it is enabled on, ruby size and color), saved locally via the browser's storage. These never leave your browser.
The free features are fully offline. The bundled dictionary and tokenizer ship inside the extension. The optional Pro upgrade uses ExtensionPay and Stripe to process a one-time payment. Payment is handled by those providers under their own privacy policies; we never see your card details.
